Workshop: Crash course in Drupal

This workshop will take place on May 12th @ 9am-12pm.

There are lots of people in Ottawa who are using Drupal for a Content Management System. Having a development environment to build or test functionality is very beneficial. If you are interested in setting up a Drupal site or have one you want to extend, this is the workshop for you.

Workshop requirement: A laptop

OpenConcept will provide a CD with Drupal, some contributed modules/themes, MAMP/WAMP environment tools (http://drupal.org/node/157602). Linux users are most welcome, but please ensure that you have Apache/PHP/MySQL set up first.

In this workshop we will go through setting up a basic Apache, PHP, MySQL development environment, and installing Drupal on it. If time allows we will also go through adding modules and themes to Drupal.
